Reg Hunter

1931 ~ 2011

Reg Charles Hunter was born on January 21, 1931 in Springhill, Nova Scotia, to Charles Hunter and Emma Ryan. He was the second of three children. Reg was raised in Oxford, NS, where he attended school to grade 9. He left school to look after the family while his father went off to war. He believed he could get a better education by working and not in the classroom.

In the late 1950’s Reg moved to Dawson Creek where he met his bride. He became a truck driver for life, doing everything from driving many miles to managing various companies.

In 2006, Reg moved to Kamloops, BC where he resided for the last 2 ½ years.

Reg passed away peacefully on  November 30, 2011 at the age of 80 years. A Funeral Service was held on Friday, December 9, 2011 at 1:00 pm from Reynars Funeral Chapel. Pauline Haycock officiated. Interment was held in the Brookside Cemetery.

Reg will be forever missed by his girls, Kim (Chris), Kari (Trevor), Kelly (Dawn) and Kathleen, Grandchildren, Charles Radke, Tavia Highland and Halle Banza and many extended family and friends.
