Galena Letendre1924 ~ 2010Galena was born on November 10, 1924 in Kelly Lake, B.C. She passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 in Beaverlodge, Alberta at the age of 85 years. She was a long time resident of Hythe, Alberta. Galena loved people; she was very generous and treaded everyone the same, not ever showing favouritism. Galena is survived by her children; Evelyn Belcourt, Robbie Letendre, Joseph Letendre, Marlene Letendre, her brothers; Charlie Calliou, George Calliou and Clifford Calliou. Her sister Liz Calliou, 27 Grandchildren, numerous Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and Friends. She was predeceased by her; husband James, two sons, Howard and Ronnie, parents, John and Eva Calliou, sister Irene, brothers, Joe and Lawrence. Galena will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. A Wake was held on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 7:00 pm at the Kelly Lake Community Centre, Kelly Lake, BC.A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Kelly Lake Community Centre; Fr. Michael Anyasoro officiated; interment followed in the Kelly Lake Cemetery. |
