Francis Wayne Steeves1941 ~ 2010Wayne was born in Vancouver, BC on June 25, 1941. He was the oldest son of Lucile & Francis Steeves. Following was Barry, Verne and the only girl Vesta, then LeRoy. They grew up in the Coleman Creek area. Wayne moved all over British Columbia to work at many jobs, including Mechanicing, Welding and Truck driving. Wayne and Kay had three children, Brenda, Calvin, & Darryl.When Wayne met Rosie they had three more children, Clinton, Steven & Suzanne. Later in life his best friend Carol, became much more than just a friend she was his partner. Wayne lived his last years in the Langley area where he retired from working as a welder. He was a good worker and could do or make just about anything. Wayne lost his battle with Cancer on May 22, 2010 and passed away with his family at his side. Wayne will be sadly missed by all his family, extended families and friends. Wayne was cremated; internment will be at a later date. |
